New Zealand - Christchurch

Some photos from New Zealand Trip 2005 (tm)!

First: Christchurch.

These kids turned up in Cathedral Square at about 8.30 in the morning, and promptly began to play this mystifying game which we think was called James Cook. There was running and stuff, and then suddenly this girl would shout out "BANANA!!!" and all of them would immediately fall to the ground. Very surreal.

This very cool sculpture was hanging in the air at the old University Buildings which have now become an arts and crafts centre.

Sculpture garden at National Gallery - this was made of metal, not wood, and the steam over the lake was artificially generated by another piece.

And another random photo from Canada, this time in Jasper in the Rockies. We stopped here for a few hours on the train trip from Edmonton to Vancouver.

The changing of the guard ceremony outside the Houses of Parliament in Ottawa. Why am I posting this photo? Because I can.

This is my current desktop. I'm posting it here because (1) I think it's rather a good photo, (2) I haven't posted anything for a very long time, and (3) I want to show off the fact that I've been to British Columbia (which is where this photo was taken, obviously).
